Are the HDMI cables that come with a Directv HD receiver good?

Would the picture on my Samsung LED 6000 series look better if I had, say, a Monster HDMI cable? Or would it be the same?

100% identical.

HDMI is a digital cable. I'll let you in on a little secret. Anything digital is the same. So, for example, a $5 hdmi cable off of ebay will give you the EXACT same picture and sound as a $100 + monster one from Best Buy. With digital you either have a signal, or you don't, there is no in between, or loss of quality with a cheaper cable.

Now if you are looking into using some analog wires (like say speaker wires to hook your speaker up to your receiver), then there is a difference in quality and brand.
